SOUTHBRIDGE — Centro Las Americas, an organization with a presence in town only since January, is already looking toward the long-term future.

But to do it, they hope the town will give them another year's worth of funding.

Last year, the group was one of the recipients of $50,000 in Community Development Block Grant money. It's federal funding Southbridge gets every year (usually in the $900,000 range), but last year was the first time the council decided to spend some of it on community services.
